Intro to Mirror Tech
Mirrors are a cost effective way to add appeal to any
room in a home or office. The possibilities of placement are endless and
limited only by what is reflected in the mirror. Mirrors add light,
dimension, and openness to any setting. Proper placement of a room's
mirrors ensures the greatest enjoyment of them.
Many
considerations figure into the final decision of which type of mirror to
select – color, size, shape, edgework, framing, etching and special
surfaces – based on the tastes of the consumer and the desired effect to
be achieved. Once the type of mirror is selected then proper handling and
installation of the mirror is imperative to the long-term viability of the
mirror.
There are also a variety of other considerations to weigh. Which
supplier to make purchases from, type of installation to use, and how to
specify the consumer's needs to the manufacturer if the mirror is a custom
order are just some of these considerations. Designing with mirror can be
the finishing touch once all the other elements are selected – such as
paint, wallpaper or furniture.
