About this Design:
We use mirror extensively in our projects to add elegance, depth and
drama. In this project we designed a large mirror for the vanity
area of a master bedroom suite. We created a frame to give the
mirror an object-like quality which echoes the detailing of the stone
and other architectural elements. The mirror is enclosed in a
custom-made nickel frame with small mirror segments on the sides.
The mirror in this project is both modern and timeless; it reflects the
abstract qualities of the space and accentuates the daylight that
filters in through the windows.

Commercial Application

About this Design:
The goal of the mirror installation in the Yoga Studio bathrooms was
to take the ordinary requirement for a bathroom mirror and transform it
into an element that creates wonder and curiosity. The "floating"
beveled oval mirror catches the user's attention from the hallway.
The user's image seems to float within the reflective beveled edge.
The translucent background provides and earthly glow around the mirror
that contributes to the "floating" image effect and naturally lights the
user's face. The mirror is supported by thin aircraft cables which
are barely visible with the background glow.

The Awards...
The Mirrorlink.org Design Awards recognize excellence in the design and
installation of mirror. The reflective quality of mirrors can expand
apparent interior space, brighten interiors with reflected light,
highlight accessories through multiple reflections, or enhance
architectural details. To increase the diversity of the entries, all
designs are judged according to their residential or commercial
application.
Judging Criteria
Judging is based on how the mirror application enhances the architecture
and aesthetic appeal of the design.
