About this Design:
The master bathroom renovation transformed the existing cavernous space
into a richly paneled and mirrored retreat more appropriately scaled for
the space. Custom beveled mirrors create an interesting reveal around the
perimeter of the vanity area, creating a reflective view of the space. The
larger mirror measures approximately 54” H X 41” W. Each mirror works to
greatly enhance the expansiveness of the room. Surrounded by cherry
cabinetry, the mirrors seem to glow. This effect is created by mounting
the light fixtures directly on the mirror, which doubles the light output
and highlights the intricate pattern of the mirror. The use of beveled
seams breaks up the large pieces of glass into an interesting pattern. The
beveled edges of the mirrors mimic the raised panels in the cabinetry,
while the buttons at the intersection of seams reflect not only the curves
and arches in the space, but also the designer’s thoroughness in attention
to detail.

About this Design:
Mirrors are important
elements in many interior projects, but become even more indispensable in
restaurant projects. The use of peach/copper toned mirrors in this project
allowed us to visually expand the space as well as allow patrons facing
the wall to obtain a (see and be seen) position in what would be
considered a bad seat if the use of mirrors were not employed. The mirror
also allowed an elaborate glass mosaic mural to visually float within the
same space. The availability of a copper toned mirror allowed for a better
blend with the restaurant’s color scheme.
